The BEASTX flybarless system is a gyro system for modern RC helicopters. The system is used to stabilize and control the helicopter on all three flight axis. It can be used with nearly any type and size of helicopter - 3D aerobatic helis, F3C competition helicopters as well as scale helicopters with 2 or more rotorblades.

Einführung

Das BEASTX Flybarless-System ist ein Kreiselsystem für moderne RC-Helikopter. Das System dient der Stabilisierung und Steuerung des Hubschraubers in allen drei Flugachsen. Es kann mit nahezu jedem Hubschraubertyp und jeder Größe verwendet werden – 3D-Kunstflughelikoptern, F3C-Wettkampfhubschraubern sowie Scale-Helikoptern mit 2 oder mehr Rotorblättern.

  • MICROBEAST ULTRA / MICROBEAST² ist das neueste Gerät der Reihe und verfügt über einen modernen ARM Cortex M4-Mikrocontroller mit viel Rechenleistung.


  • MICROBEAST PLUS HD ist die Heavy-Duty-Version für große Hubschrauber ab 600er Größe. Es verfügt über einen zusätzlichen Hochstrom-Batterieanschluss mit Failsafe-Schalter, um den Anforderungen von Hochleistungsservos gerecht zu werden.


  • NANOBEAST ist das ultimative System für Hubschrauber der Mikro- und Minigröße. Grundsätzlich verfügt es über alle Funktionen seiner größeren Brüder, ist jedoch speziell für Anwendungen konzipiert, bei denen es auf geringe Größe und Gewicht ankommt. Hier werden JST-Servoanschlüsse verwendet, die mit Micro- und Nano-Servos kompatibel sind.



Warning.png MICROBEAST² wird mit ALIGN® TRex-Hubschraubern als OEM-Version des MICROBEAST ULTRA ausgeliefert. Beide Geräte sind identisch. Lediglich die Beschriftung ist anders.



Technical specification

  • wide input voltage range from 4 to 9 Volts
  • supports nearly all types of radio systems with conventional receiver wiring as well as lots of different serial signal receivers like SBUS, XBUS, EXBUS, iBus, UDI, SRXL, SRXL2, TBS CRSF (OpenTX, EdgeTX and ELRS radios), FRSky F.Port, Serial PPM, SUMD, Spektrum/JR/ALIGN remote satellites (some protocols are not available on all devices, please see device specific instructions)
  • preset swash plate mixing for mCCPM and 90, 120, 140 eCCPM + fully customizable swash mixing with up to 4 swash plate servos and virtual phasing for scale helicopters
  • swash plate servo update rate with up to 400Hz (not on all devices, please see device specific instructions)
  • integrated tail gyro with torque precompensation ("RevoMix") supports all types of rudder servos with 760, 960 and 1500/1520µs pulse width and up to 600Hz update rate (not on all devices, please see device specific instructions)
  • integrated motor governor for electric and nitro/gas driven helicopters (requires rpm sensor pickup or esc with rpm signal output; not available for NANOBEAST)
  • also supports helicopters with tail motor drive instead of conventional tail drive with servo control


Additional features

All systems comes with basic flybarless stabilization functionality and can be upgraded with additional features by paid update.

  • AttitudeControl for recue bailout or constant leveling
  • Bank Switching which allows to change between different parameter presets in flight to serve different flight conditions or flying styles
  • Telemetry hub transforms your BEASTX device into a hub for processing incoming and outgoing telemetry data. It supports common ESC protocols (Kontronik®, YGE®, Scorpion®, Hobbywing®, Spektrum® AVIAN) and radio systems (Jeti® EXBUS, Spektrum® SRXL2, Graupner® HOTT, FrSky® S.Port, TBS CRSF, Futaba® SBUS2 (MB ULTRA), FrSky® F.Port (MB ULTRA))
  • The ProEdition upgrade unlocks all features at once at a fair pricing!


Setup procedure

To setup your BEASTX system there is no need for any additional devices. All you need is your radio system and your helicopter. Thanks to the well proven EasySetup system you can do all the necessary adjustment directly at the device and in very short time.

In combination with a Spektrum® or JETI® telemetry radio system, you can follow the setup process through the display of your remote control.

For additional features you can use the StudioX app for PC/Mac/Smartphone/Tablet in combination with the USB2SYS or BLE2SYS interface (optional available). These apps allow to setup your device, save/restore paramaters, download firmware updates, load preset heli configurations and make advanced adjustments to fully customize your BEASTX device.
