Fliegen mit dem MICROBEAST PLUS Drehzahlregler (optional)

Die Drehzahlreglerfunktion ist ein optionales Feature und ist nicht in allen MICROBEAST PLUS Firmwareversionen enthalten! Ausserdem kann diese Funktion nur in Kombination mit SingleLine-Empfängern verwendet werden.

Die Drehzahlregelung kann generell erst eingeschaltet werden, wenn MICROBEAST PLUS betriebsbereit ist. Während der Initialisierungsphase wird das Gassteuersignal vom Sender direkt an das Gasservo weitergegeben. Achten Sie daher (vor allem bei Elektromodellen) beim Einschalten und während der Initialisierungsphase unbedingt darauf, dass der Gaskanal auf „Motor aus“ Position steht (und nicht auf "Autorotation")!

Falls der Fernsteuerempfänger nicht innerhalb von zwei Sekunden nach dem Einschalten ein gültiges Steuersignal an MICROBEAST PLUS sendet, sperrt dieses den Gaskanal aus Sicherheitsgründen. Am Ausgang [CH5] wird das Steuersignal auf die eingestellte Motor Failsafe Position (Empfängermenü Einstellpunkt N) gestellt. Erst wenn MICROBEAST PLUS ein gültiges Signal vom Empfänger bekommt und das Gas am Sender auf der eingestellten Failsafe Position (oder darunter) steht, dann wird der Gaskanal freigegeben!

Ab Firmwareversion 4.1.x muss der Motorkanal grundsätzlich nach dem Einschalten auf die Failsafeposition oder darunter gestellt werden, wenn der Drehzahlregler verwendet wird. Erst dann wird der Gaskanal freigegeben. Falls es erforderlich ist, dass beim Einschalten Gas gegeben werden kann, z.B. um einen Motorsteller zu programmieren, dann muss der Drehzahlregler über bei Setupmenü Einstellpunkt N vorübergehend deaktiviert werden.

Achten Sie beim Verbrennungsmodell stets darauf, dass der Drehzahlregler augeschaltet ist, wenn Sie das Modell anlassen. Andernfalls würde durch die Regelung das Gasservo bis an die Vollgasposition fahren und dort stehen bleiben. Prüfen Sie die Gasservoposition vor jedem Motorstart sehr gewissenhaft!

As described above at Governor menu point D set your throttle curves or the auxiliary channel in the various flight modes as high as necessary, so that the desired head speed will be approached and observed. Keep in mind that the head speed should not be higher than 80% of the maximum head speed that is possible with this motor and this gear ratio. If the chosen head speed is too high, the RPM Governor will constantly give full throttle input and no effective govering will be possible because there is not enough room left to open the throttle for compensating the rotor head load.

Some transmitters offer a special setting that allows to automatically switch the auxiliary governor channel together with the flight mode switch. So the motor can be started in the first flight mode, you can spool up the rotor by applying throttle manually and hover the helicopter. With the second flight mode the throttle curve is switched to a „V“-shaped curve and simultaneously the RPM Governor is turned by the auxiliary channel. In this case pay special attention that the two throttle curves overlap as good as possible in the point at which the transfer between the two flight modes takes place. Otherwise the throttle servo would make a jump before the RPM Governor will take over control as you still may be in manual mode for a short amount of time. So in this type of operation it is not possible to activate the RPM governor from the get go and let the rotor spool up autonomously. If you want this, you must activate the RPM Governor before switching to your second flight mode!
