This is because firmware version 5.x.x was developed by BEASTX completely independent from Spektrum/Horizon hobby. When you have bought the update you can upgrade to ProEdition later at any time. In this case the upgrade will only cost the difference of 79,- €. The ProEdition upgrade be default is 99,- € which is the same price as for MICROBEAST PLUS upgrade.
