MICROBEAST PLUS transfers the stick inputs of roll, elevator and rudder as commands to rotate the heli with a given speed. When the sticks are in center position this means "do not rotate". On the other hand when you move the stick(s) to a specific amount of full deflection it is not settled how fast the helicopter will rotate. Here comes the control style setting into play which allows to choose between different control behaviors/control styles for your helicopter. This includes the maximum rotation rate of the helicopter as well as how sensitive MICROBEAST PLUS will react to stick inputs for aileron, elevator and rudder around the stick centre (Stick expo).<br />

The control style is set at PARAMETER MENU point B at the device (to enter this menu point briefly push and hold the button from operation mode, so Menu LED A flashes, then again brifly push the button so Menu LED B flashes). The choice is done by moving the rudder stick in one direction until the LED indicates the desired color and state. To find your individual preference increase the option step by step. <br />

Anyhow, if you only make small adjustments (e.g. slightly increasing the throw to increase rotation rate) this should be no problem.<br />

When StudioX has connected to your MICROBEAST PLUS, in the device overview main screen click the "Parameter" button. Click the "Next" button once in order to change to the topic "Bank 1 - Control style". Here you see the currently used maximum rotation rates and expo values for each control function aileron, elevator and rudder. The rate is measured in degrees per second, a value of 360 for example means your helicopter will make a full turn/rotation in one second, when you move the stick to full deflection. The expo value is specified in percent. 0% expo means that the stick input is influencing the output linearly. Usually this will make the control feel very sensitive and over reactive. By adding some expo you can soften the input around stick center position.<br />
