StudioX Flow allows to fully configure your MICROBEAST PLUS, MICROBEAST ULTRA and NANOBEAST. You can use it to do all the configuration from the computer or smartphone.

In January 2026 we released new StudioX Flow app. This app replaces the StudioX / StudioXm app on all platforms. Please use StudioX Flow especially for firmware updates. StudioX / StudioXm app won't be maintained and updated anymore.

Make sure to always use the latest version in order to be compatible with latest device firmware updates!

Installation

If not already done, download and install the latest version of StudioX Flow from the Apple Store, GooglePlay Store or Microsoft Store. For download links please visit the BEASTX website:

When opening the app for the first time, usually you'll be prompted to give the app some privileges. Here make sure to give the App privileges for using the bluetooth connection and to write data to the internal storage. Also make sure to allow the App access your internet connection in case you want to download firmware update files for your device. With iOS you will be asked to grant privileges at first start up. On Android devices sometimes it may be necessary to do this manually in the application settings!

When the StudioX App is not allowed to write to the internal storage, your user specific settings won't be saved, i.e. language and port settings, etc. So, if you have issues with bluetooth connection or settings please check your app privileges first!

Hardware requirements

To connect your BEASTX controller with your smartphone/tablet the BLE2SYS bluetooth smart interface is required. This is plugged into your device's SYS port and is used to establish a wireless communication to the phone.

To connect your BEASTX device with your desktop computer or notebook you can alternatively use the USB2SYS interface:

Please note that some of these devices are not sold anymore. As an alternative you may use a different brand's USB to serial interface if using the BLE2SYS interface is not an option.
