There are a lot of different parameters to optimize the system and tweak it to your personal preference. Here is an overview and a short description of the parameters. Some parameters can be directly changed from the device's menu. More complex parameters can be adjusted using the StudioX app. You will get more details about the parameters in the following sections.
On MICROBEAST PLUS / ULTRA the current menu step is indicated by the LED letters. In PARAMETER MENU the menu LED must be flashing.
With NANOBEAST the current menu step is indicated by number of flashes of the Status LED. In PARAMETER MENU the Status LED will flash in purple color. Steps A to G are indicated by 1 to 7 flashes. From steps H to M onwards again there will be 1 to 7 flashes to indicate the current menu step. But here the first flash will be long.

A - Quick Trim
Tap or hold sticks for pitch/elevator and roll/aileron to trim swashplate in desired cyclic direction. Use rudder stick to trim the collective. When using RESCUE function (only RESCUE or PROEDITION firmware) enable the rescue function on the radio to enable trim fucntion for artifical horizon. Here you can trim the pitch or roll axis by tapping/holding the corresponding stick on the radio.
B - Control Style
Tap rudder stick to select Control Style (change LED color). The higher the value, the more responsive your helicopter will be and the higher is the maximum rotation rate. Use setting "linear" if you like to use expo and rate function on the radio.
C - Speed flight stability
Tap rudder stick to select Speed flight stability (change LED color). The higher the value, the more locked in your helicopter will be in fast forward flight. It's best to try finding the lowest suitable setting.
D - Rudder rate consistency
Tap rudder stick to select Rudder rate consistency (change LED color). It determines how hard the tail gyro tries to maintain a given rotation rate. If the value is set too low, pirouettes will be inconsistent during fast forward flight and the helicopter will slowly drift on the vertical axis in stationary hovering flight with crosswinds. It's best to try finding the lowest suitable setting.
E - Stick dead zone
Tap rudder stick to select Stick dead zone (change LED color). It defines the range around the very center of the stick in which the system will not react to stick inputs. It's best to try finding the lowest suitable setting.
F - Revo Mix
Use Revo Mix when the tail goes away in torque direction when applying a sudden collective or cyclic input. Tap rudder stick to select amount of Revo Mixing (torque precompensation) and direction (change LED color). Set direction according your heli's (main) rotor rotation direction: CCW = counter clock wise, CW = clock wise.
G - Cyclic response
Tap rudder stick to select amount of Cyclic response (change LED color). This determines how aggressive the system will responds to cyclic control commands (roll and pitch). Use the normal setting for linear reaction or gradually increase for a more reactive feeling.
H - Pitch boost
Tap rudder stick to select amount of Pitch boost (change LED color). This function will transfer quick thrust stick movements into an overshooting pitch movement. This can be especially useful in 3D aerobatics when very rapid collective pitch changes are necessary for certain flight maneuvers. With pitch boost you don't need to move the stick over full range of movement. Small movements are sufficient when moving the stick quick enough.
I - Throttle response
Tap rudder stick to adjust Throttle response of the internal Governor function (change LED color). This determines how fast and how far the system will open and close the throttle when the rotor speed changes. Ideally the response is set as high as possible, but not too high otherwise throttle will overshoot. Increase stepwise just until you get the most consistent rotor head speed.
J - Slow rampup speed
Tap rudder stick to adjust ramp speed of the internal Governor function for initial soft start (change LED color). The speed is given in number of revolutions by how much the rotor speed is increased per second. The higher the setting the faster your preset head speed will be reached.
With the StudioX Flow app you have the option to disable the soft start feature, which will set the spool up rate to "0". This is necessary when using a speed controller with built-in soft start feature (but without head speed governing). In this case the system will add half throttle immediately and wait until the speed controller has finished the spool up. Then it will activate the governing.
K - Fast rampup speed
Tap rudder stick to adjust ramp speed of the internal Governor function when switching between preset head speeds in flight (change LED color). This also affects the Autorotation bailout ramp speed. The speed is given in number of revolutions by how much the rotor speed is increased per second. The higher the setting the faster your preset head speed will be reached.
L - Attitude operation mode
Tap rudder stick to select Attitude operation mode (change LED color). The bailout rescue and 3D - Mode can have collective pitch control or can be used without. In order to activate/deactivate the Attitude stabilization use the previously assigned radio channel, which either can be an additional channel or the gyro channel.
When using the bank switch feature you can set individual Attiude modes for each bank from the StudioX Flow app. If not using a separate channel for AttitudeControl on the radio, the Attitude Modes will be always active in each bank, so use at least one bank that has no Attitude mode selected, in order to be able to deactivate this function in flight.
M - Rescue pitch
By moving the rudder stick left or right you can decrease or increase the hovering pitch for Attitude mode. The color of the Status-LED indicates the range where the pitch is in between at the moment. This range is specified as percentage of maximum positive/negative pitch. Ideally the pitch angle is exactly as large as it is necessary to maintain a stationary hovering flight without ascending or descending. Typically this is somewhere in the range between 5 and 6 degrees.
Please note that during operation you can always add more pitch by giving thrust stick input. The pitch you adjust here is only the minimum amount of pitch. Using the StudioX Flow app you can additionally set the "Pitch boost" option which will add an additional pitch input for a restricted amount of time.
